During a trip to Hong Kong, I was introduced to this drink, Salty Lemon 7-Up (咸柠七).

Somehow, the preserved salty lemon give a unique favor to the 7-Up. And I have been wanted to make this drink in Singapore, but in vain.

During a recent trip to Hong Kong and Macau, I found the answer to make this drink, thank to my wife. My wife have this interest to visit their supermarket, although I am not that supportive. But thank to her, I found this bottle of Salty Lemon. Without a second thought, I bought a bottle.

Salty Lemon (咸柠)

As in the instruction, add a teaspoon of the salty Lemon to a glass. (I have only cups at home!).

Adding Salty Lemon

Then put 7-Up and ice to glass (cup in this case).

7-up to the Salty Lemon

And now, I have a glass (cup) of salty lemon at the comfort of my home. And enjoy the unique favor.

I was strolling along the busy street of Mongkok on a Saturday Afternoon about 2 months ago. The street was full of vibrancy. This was very youth street. There are many young people in different attire giving our flyers promoting business. And I can find many, many photographers with their heavy equipment showing the streets, the crowds, and the young beautiful girls :-).

I, too, took out my camera and snapped many pictures. As I was carrying quite a number of items, so some of the shots were a bit motion blur.

When I was leaving the place, I saw two ambulances rushing across. Later, then I read the news on the acid throwing incident. Wow, I was fortunate that I was not one of the victims.
