In one of my earlier posts, I shared an effect using Circular Polarizing Filter.

Recently, I had the opportunity to test out more effect using Circular Polarizing Filter – reduce reflection for shoot before water surface.

The following are two pictures taken using different rotation of the Circular Polarizing Filter.

Effect of Circular Polarizing Filter - Reducing the Reflection on the Water Surface

In the first picture, because of the reflection on the water surface, we can hardly see the fishes in the water.

Thank to the Circular Polarizing Filter, we can see the fishes in the water more clearly. However, in this picture, the ground above the water surface look washed out.

The Circular Polarizing Filter can easily help to reduce the reflection on the water surface, so that we can shoot beyond the water surface, what is in the water.
